About

We are She SUPs - a stand-up paddleboarding community that aims to empower women (cis, trans) and gender minorities through SUP lessons, online courses, SUP socials and multi-day SUP trips.

With women’s interest in stand-up paddle boarding at an all time high since the COVID19 pandemic, and the She SUPs message and ethos resonating with women across the country, we are seeking individuals to join our growing team to help us reach thousands more women from across Australia, from a range of backgrounds, and help empower them through SUP adventures and SUP education. Doing things differently

She SUPs is not a SUP school/business in the traditional sense. We like to think we’ve carved out our own unique corner of the outdoors industry delivering not only day tours and lessons, but overnight trips and expeditions that are truly soul-warming, we have developed a growing online community platform which our paddlers describe as ‘feeling like a family’ and we provide online education resources such as our online course to empower women with knowledge and skills to do-it-themselves and spend more time outdoors. We are a ‘profit for good’ business. Giving back and making a positive impact of the world is what drives us. As our community grows, we recognise that we can utilise our collective power for good and we love to work together to support causes that matter to us and our community. We are a highly empathetic and compassionate team who aim to ensure every individual feels supported and empowered through every interaction with us (both on and off the water). We host boutique bucket-list experience SUP trips but will only work with third-party businesses who align with our values and ethos. And we actively facilitate connections between our paddlers to ensure everyone feels welcome and part of our wonderful community.

Culture & Values

The She SUPs team are:

  • Highly creative - we are innovators in the industry

  • FUN - laughter and fun is central to what we do and how we work

  • Honest and compassionate - we are a team of highly empathetic individuals

  • Forward thinkers and problem solvers

  • Passionate - everyone has a fire in their belly to make a positive impact in the world

  • Adventurous and love the outdoors

  • Forever an optimist - working in a weather dependent industry has its challenges, so optimism is key. We live by the phrase “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only being under prepared!”

Seasonal SUP Guide based in Sydney
(Saturdays, Dec - May)

She SUPs is seeking a passionate and experienced female SUP Guide to help run our Half-Day Tours and Confidence Builder sessions in Sydney during the Summer months. We are seeking a guide who is available EVERY SATURDAY from 5th December to 29th May 2026.

You will be paid a minimum of $32 per hour + superannuation for the tours with a guarantee of working a minimum of 4 hours every Saturday regardless of the weather. If a tour is cancelled due to the weather, we may on occasion ask you to switch your day OR we will ask for your assistance with other admin tasks on that Saturday during your 4 hours. Additional hours are available for additional tour/trip support.

GREEN FLAGS!

✅ You are a qualified outdoor guide (can be kayak, abseil, hiking or other) WITH EXPERIENCE in Stand-up paddleboarding. We can train you to become a confident SUP guide/instructor, but an outdoor qualification with at least 1 year’s experience guiding tours is vital.

✅ You’re available every Saturday between 5th December to 29th May 2026 (we can always swap you to another day on the odd occasion if there’s one or two that don’t work).

✅ You love meeting new people and making them feel welcome and creating community

✅ You’re the kind of person who has a sixth sense in social situations and can tell if someone feels nervous or is being left out, and will proactively take action to ensure they feel supported

✅ You have a growth mindset, love feedback and you’re always keen to upskill, learn and grow!

✅ You’re comfortable engaging with a diverse range of people and can strike a conversation with ANYONE. Awkward silences? Never with you around!!

✅ You’re safety conscious, some may say you have eyes in the back of your head, so that while you’re chatting to clients you are also keeping an eye out for hazards and other things that are happening on the water

✅ You have a clear driving license, you own a car and you are happy driving our SUP van to/from locations.

RED FLAGS!

🚩 You’re more interested in paddling cool places than people. Of course our instructors are super passionate paddlers, but this job is about our community, making women feel safe and connected on the water PLUS you may find yourself doing the same location over and over again… so we need you to be happy with this.

🚩 You see this as just a fun way to get paid for your hobby

🚩 You struggle with time management

🚩 You’re not a morning person… or you like to use your Friday’s to party!

🚩 You’re not a fan of getting your hands dirty, getting salty or carrying multiple boards even when you’re tired.

🚩 You’re someone who refuses to go outside if it’s raining

We’d LOVE if…

⭐️ You’re comfortable infront of the camera and have an interest in making content for us (optional paid work opportunities here)

⭐️ You have other skills such as Yoga, Pilates or other.
